Gachagua Engages Kajiado North Leader in Strategic Consultative Meeting

By Malticks - December 20, 2025

Former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua recently held a consultative meeting with Saaya Tema Karmushu from Laikipia North at his Wamunyoro residence, emphasizing collaborative leadership and strategies for constituency development.

The meeting, which Gachagua shared on Facebook on December 19, 2025, focused on both political and developmental issues affecting Laikipia County and the wider Laikipia North constituency.

The discussion centered on identifying the main challenges facing residents and exploring actionable solutions.

Both leaders shared insights on ongoing projects and discussed ways to coordinate efforts for better service delivery.

Gachagua highlighted the importance of partnership among elected officials, noting that pooling resources and aligning strategies is critical to creating resilient and prosperous communities.

“This engagement allowed us to reflect on the development priorities and political dynamics within the constituency and the county,” Gachagua said.

“Our discussions focused on issues pertinent to the residents, aiming to enhance collaboration and ensure that projects translate into tangible benefits for the people.”

The meeting also provided an avenue to examine ongoing development initiatives, ensuring that they are effectively implemented and meet community needs.

Gachagua emphasized that leadership requires active consultation with community representatives and stakeholders. He argued that such engagements strengthen governance by fostering transparency, accountability, and inclusivity in decision-making processes.

“Through consultative leadership, we can address community concerns collectively and develop solutions in partnership with local leaders,” he stated. “By continuing these discussions, we ensure that our interventions are well-coordinated and that resources are deployed efficiently for maximum impact.”

The discussions also underscored the value of monitoring and evaluating ongoing projects. Both leaders assessed the progress of initiatives within Laikipia North and explored mechanisms to overcome bureaucratic bottlenecks that might hinder service delivery.

The aim, Gachagua noted, is to build communities where citizens experience real change in their daily lives, from improved infrastructure to enhanced social services.

Beyond development issues, the meeting served as a platform to discuss political dynamics and expectations in the lead-up to national and local initiatives.

Gachagua stressed the importance of unity and collaboration among leaders, reminding that strategic partnerships are essential for successful governance. He also noted that ongoing dialogue ensures leaders remain responsive to residents’ evolving needs.

“We shall continue to engage with leaders to align our efforts towards transforming our constituencies into regions that are not only resilient but also economically vibrant,” Gachagua said.

“Sustained partnerships among political and community leaders are key to achieving lasting positive change.”

Gachagua expressed optimism about the potential results of sustained collaboration. He highlighted that future partnerships could enhance the effectiveness of initiatives, ensuring that residents benefit directly from developmental projects.

The former deputy president also encouraged leaders to remain committed to collective goals and to focus on solutions that drive tangible improvements in the quality of life for citizens.

“Our continued partnership and coordinated approach will ensure that initiatives are impactful and bring meaningful benefits to the people,” Gachagua affirmed.

“Together, we can create constituencies that are stronger, more resilient, and better equipped to meet the challenges of tomorrow.”
